FPRA Tampa Bay

Membership

Attention all FPRA Tampa Bay Members:
To thank you for your continued support and help build a little momentum and excitement as we kick-off our new membership year, I’m happy to present to you the 2009 FPRA Membership Rewards Program. It’s a simple program open to all current FPRA Tampa Bay members and potential members. In fact, just by renewing or joining, you’ll earn 25 points to get you started. Your next opportunity to earn points will be during the October 28th program on How to Measure Social Media Programs. By attending you’ll earn 20 points and for every guest you bring you’ll earn an additional 10 points. A complete list of point-related activities is below.

The contest runs October 1, 2009 through our holiday social, tentatively Dec. 16, 2009.

What do you get?
1st place: $75 gift card; 2nd place: $50 gift card
Everyone who achieves a min. of 60 points receives a $5 discount coupon to use at any future regular* program (* Regular programs do not include Roast & Toast Scholarship Fundraiser, Image Awards Banquet or Media Breakfast.)

How can you earn points?

How will points be tracked/reported?
We’ll automatically award you points following the processing of your renewal or paid attendance of program. To earn points for bringing guests to a program you must email Dan McLean, APR with the name(s) of guests you plan on bringing prior to the start of the program. To earn points for referring members, the new member will need to mention you as the referring member when he/she submits his/her application to Dan McLean.

Point leaders will be announced in our electronic newsletter and in the evites that precede each event. You can also contact Dan McLean, APR for an update on your balance.

Values of Membership

One of the values of FPRA is the wealth of information and resources among the members. No matter how long you've been in PR, there are going to be times when you feel that you need to bounce an idea off another professional outside your own organization.

Sometimes a new perspective can be the perfect jump start to re-energize yourself and add some new life to your project. Let's face it, we're all busy and there are those times when we need a little boost. Maybe it's been awhile since you've had to contract for photo or videography. Or perhaps you're in a bind for a quick print job in another city and you need a printer outside your area. Chances are, an FPRA member has recent experience and/or contacts that they can share.

Membership benefits include:
- Networking
- Professional Development/Accreditation
- Discount on Chapter programs and events
- Leadership Opportunities
- Local and State PR Competitions (Image Awards)
- Web site Access (State and Local Level)
- Job Bank

To apply for membership in FPRA, complete the online form or download an application in Adobe Acrobat format. Please print the form, fill it out in its entirety, enclose a copy of your resume and a check for the appropriate dues and processing fee (see below) and mail to:
